Colbert Talks Ocean Exploration

Oceanographer Robert Ballard appeared on the Colbert Report last night, and it made for some good watching. Ballard is most known for discovering the Titanic in 1985, but he's got worthwhile things to say about the importance of ocean exploration.

My favorite tidbit from this interview? According to Ballard, one year of NASA's budget would support NOAA's ocean exploration for 1600 years. Apparently the discrepancy has something to do with the fact that lobsters are red...
