Growing up in Kansas, I never had the opportunity to take the oceans for granted! Whenever I’m lucky enough to get to a coast, the ocean immediately fills me with calm and awe. That color of blue – no matter the shade – is a beautiful thing. Every time I see marine wildlife, I giggle like a kid and am filled with what I can only describe as truly pure joy. The fact that I get to work on protecting our oceans and doing what we can to save what’s left is something I’m not only incredibly proud of, but something I feel is an honor and a privilege.
