Seafood Mercury Pollution Campaign Intern

Description

Oceana seeks a Mercury Pollution Intern to work with our campaign to eliminate mercury pollution from chlorine factories and to get grocery chains to post the Food and Drug Administration's advice about mercury in seafood.  The intern will assist on a variety of projects including writing, editing, researching, grassroots organizing and policy work.

Qualifications


The ideal candidate should possess:

  • Superb researching, writing and communication skills
  • A good understanding of mercury pollution
  • Ability to work in a team and independently
  • Familiarity with MS Office applications


Interns should be able to work at least 30 hours a week for at least 10 weeks.  Stipends are available.  Oceana accepts interns who earn academic credit for their internship.  Undergraduate and graduate students as well as recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
